3-4 days

TEST TYPES #
Urine Testing
Most basic drug urine tests that test for "opiates" detect morphine, which both heroin and codeine break down into. Morphine is not a major metabolite of oxycodone, so these standard opiate tests generally do not succesfully detect low to moderate oxycodone use.

However, several inexpensive urine drug tests are currently available that also test for oxycodone, with a detection cutoff of 100 ng/mL. Oxycodone is also detectable by more expensive (and more rare) GC/MS and HPLC laboratoray testing.

High dose or frequent recent use of oxycodone may leave enough morphine in the body to be detected even by basic tests. In Dec 2004, we received email from someone who tested positive for opiate use, on a standard urine drug screen, after snorting 15-50 mg of oxycodone most days for the 3 weeks before a test.

CAUTION & DISCLAIMER #
Erowid's drug testing information is a summary of data gathered from site visitors, journal articles, websites, and other resources. Detection periods depend on amount and frequency of use, metabolic rate, body mass, age, overall health, drug tolerance, and urine pH of each individual. Many substances that are not tested for in basic or extended urinalysis tests CAN be tested for by a laboratory willing to go to the trouble, although that is uncommon.
